Start Your Conversion Project Today
Start a complex vehicle build with the engineering pathway in view. Packard Automotive can assess, modify, test and support certification in house for a range of light vehicle modifications and conversions across Western Australia.
Engine changes, chassis modifications, seating changes, brake upgrades and other significant conversions can involve preliminary approval, technical evidence, testing and final inspection requirements. Discussing the complete build before buying parts or starting fabrication helps identify the likely pathway and any vehicle-specific constraints while there is still time to plan around them.
Packard’s published engineering capability includes assessment of engine and chassis modifications or swaps, seating and brake modifications, suspension lifts, custom GVM upgrades and imported light vehicles. The workshop can also complete relevant mechanical, fabrication and testing work where it suits the project.
Packard brings practical workshop capability together with a recognised Western Australian Engineering Signatory. Available in-house services include brake, noise, emissions, lane-change and chassis testing, together with 3D scanning and finite element analysis where relevant. This allows the practical work, evidence and engineering pathway to be considered together.
Every proposal is assessed on its own merits. Acceptance of a concept, the tests required and any certification outcome depend on the vehicle, proposed modification, applicable requirements, completed workmanship and supporting evidence.
Send us the vehicle details, current condition, proposed components and intended use before major work begins. Call Packard Automotive on (08) 9414 9555 or send an enquiry for an initial assessment.
